Can anyone submit content to Pandora?
Yes. Independent artists are welcome to submit their content for consideration by Pandora via our independent artist submissions portal: amp.pandora.com/submit
In order for content to be submitted, approved and published via amp.pandora.com/submit it must be distributed to Pandora by a digital aggregator one of our licensing partners. Once approved and analyzed in the Music Genome Project®, content will be available on Pandora's ad-supported radio service, Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium. What are the best distribution options for DIY artists who are submitting content to Pandora via amp.pandora.com/submit?
While it’s now necessary for all artists who are using amp.pandora.com/submit to have their content distributed to Pandora, we leave it up to artists to decide which service is right for them as everyone's needs are different. There are some great low cost options available for self-releasing DIY artists and we suggest doing some research to decide which makes sense for you. Below is a list of a few digital aggregators that offer distribution and licensing services specifically tailored for self-releasing DIY artists:
How do I submit my content to Pandora?
You can submit your content through the Independent Artist Submissions Tool found within AMP.
Prior to submitting your release, please confirm the following with your distributor:
- Pandora was selected when the release was distributed.
- U.S. streaming rights were granted to Pandora.
- The release is not a pre-release (i.e. submission has already been released).

If I am an international artist, how can I submit my content to Pandora?
If you live outside of the US, you can still submit your content to Pandora for consideration.
First, create a Pandora listener account here. You will be asked to fill out a form, including your email address, password, birth year and gender.
After agreeing to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, click Register.
With the same email address and password you used to create your account, you will be able to submit your work for consideration at amp.pandora.com/submit.
How many submissions can I send at one time?
You will only be able to submit one release (album, EP, or single) at a time through the tool. To send in multiple releases, you must make a separate submission for each release.
How quickly will Pandora process my submission?
We don't offer an expected timeline for submissions. If your submission is approved, we’ll notify you via email when it is live on Pandora. You can also view your status here: amp.pandora.com/submissions
How will I be notified about my submissions status?
After you submit to Pandora, you will receive an email confirmation to your listener email account notifying you that it has been received for review.

You'll need to be signed in to the Pandora account you used for the submission in order to see the correct status.
Once my content is live on Pandora, where will it play?
Your content will be included in the Music Genome Project®, as our analysts identify up to 450 attributes to describe your tracks. Once it is added to Pandora, you can immediately start a new station based on your artist name or one of your tracks. The Music Genome Project® will begin matching it with similar artists and tracks on listeners’ stations. Additionally, having your content delivered via a distributor or aggregator will allow it to spin on our two interactive tiers of service, Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium.
My distributor delivered content to Pandora. Why is it not available?
If you have content that is being distributed to Pandora but is not yet live, please sign into your Pandora account and complete the simple three-step form at amp.pandora.com/submit. While your content may be delivered to us by your distributor, Pandora is still a curated collection. Submitting your content will prioritize it for review.
As an independent artist, how can I benefit from Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium features?
Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium are Pandora’s interactive tiers of service.
Pandora Plus allows subscribers to listen to your content without advertisements. It also allows your fans to replay tracks, and to listen to content in Offline Mode.

Pandora Premium allows your fans to play what they want, when they want. They can create playlists and listen to them offline when there is no connection. Pandora Premium is the most complete tier of service on Pandora.
